Hagia Sophia

Hippodrome

The Hippodrome of Constantinople, now known as Sultanahmet Square, is a historic site in Istanbul, Turkey. The hippodrome was designed for 100,000 spectators and featured a U-shaped track with a central spina (mediang) and a straight section measuring about 350 meters in length.

Tour Program

DAY 1: ISTANBUL
Arrival, Istanbul, accommodation at hotel. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)

DAY 2: ISTANBUL- PAMUKKALE / 600 km
After breakfast around 7:30 am departure to Pamukkale, accommodation at hotel, dinner and overnight in Pamukkale. (B/D)

DAY 3: PAMUKKALE – CAPPADOCIA / 600 km
After breakfast c-out from hotel, 3 hours Pamukkale tour, we will visit the north gate of Hierapolis ancient city, the Necropolis (cemetery) with over 1.200 graves, Roman Bath, Domitian Gate, the Main Street, and Byzantine Gate. After that, we will continue to natural part of Pamukkale. We walk down on walking path while 35ºC Spring water flowing around your feet. We will have free time for relaxing in the ancient Cleopatra’s pool (entrance fee is not included in the tour price), where you can swim amongst Roman ruins. Please take your towel, sunglasses and swimming suit. Drive to Nevşehir – Cappadocia, arrival, overnight in Cappadocia. (B)

DAY 4: CAPPADOCIA
Full Day Tour. After breakfast around 9:30 am, you will be picked up from your hotel to join the full day tour of Cappadocia. Your tour will start with a visit to the Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy chimneys. Next, you will visit Ürgüp, Göreme, Underground Cities, Üçhisar, churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. Returning to your hotel, diner. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B) Optional Tour >> Hot Air Balloon.

DAY 5: CAPPADOCIA- BOLU – ISTANBUL / 700 km
After breakfast departure to Istanbul, during the way stop in Bolu for lunch (extra) Bolu is famous for its dense forests, fauna and hot spring facilities. Continue the way to Istanbul arrive, accommodation, overnight in Istanbul. (B)

DAY 6: ISTANBUL
Full Day Byzantine & Ottoman Relics Tour. After breakfast approximately at 8:30 am, pick up from your hotel to begin the full day tour. Visit Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, break lunch (extra) Grand Bazaar and Topkapı Palace. After the tour, back to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)

DAY 7: ISTANBUL
After breakfast check out from hotel (before 12:00), departure to your country. End of tour (B).
