ÇORUM-AMASYA

Çorum & Amasya is a popular tourist route in Turkey featuring many historical and cultural sites. Hattusa and Yazılıkaya are two of the most notable sites along this route. Hattusa is an ancient city dating back to the Hittite civilization, and it’s a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site. Meanwhile, Yazılıkaya is an open-air temple, also from the Hittite period, which is famous for its impressive rock carvings.

Along this route, tourists can also visit the Amasya Castle, which is perched on top of a hill. Built during the Pontic Kingdom, the castle served as a fortification system and was home to several ruling dynasties throughout history. In addition to the castle, visitors can explore the King’s Cemetery, which is an extensive burial ground that dates to the Pontic Kingdom. The cemetery is famous for its impressive stone tombs with ornate carvings.

Tour Program

Day 1 – Arrival at Ankara Airport. Meeting with your guide. Transfer to Gordian Ancient City. After the visit lunch break. Return to Ankara and time permitting panoramic Ankara Tour. Dinner (extra) outside of the hotel in a local Restaurant. Overnight in Hotel, Ankara.
Day 2 – After breakfast in the hotel, visit Anatolian Civilization Museum, followed by Ankara Forth and Anitkabir. After lunch break continue to Hattusa and dinner & overnight in Hotel.
Day 3 – After breakfast in the hotel visit Hattusas and Yazılıkaya. After lunch break continue to Amasya. Site seeing in Amasya; Amasya Castle, The King’s Cemetery and overnight in Amasya.
Day 4 – After breakfast start for Trabzon which will take around 8 hours with breaks. Time permitting and if not too tired visit Sümela Monastery which is on the way to Trabzon. Continue to Trabzon and dinner (extra) and overnight in Trabzon.
Day 5 – Full Day site seeing in Trabzon; Hagia Sophia Museum,Gülbahar Hatun Mosque,Trabzon Castle Ruıns,Atatürk Mansion Museum, Sümela Monastery, dinner (extra). Overnight in Trabzon.
Day 6 – Trabzon – Uzungöl – Erzurum. Dinner (extra) and overnight in Erzurum.
Day 7 – Erzurum tour; Çifte Minareli Madrasah, Yakutiye Madrasah, Erzurum Castle Ruins, and continue to Kars on the way stopping over in Sarıkamıs and overnight in Kars, dinner (extra).
Day 8 – Full Day Kars tour starting with Ani Ancient City, return back to Kars and visit Kars forth, then Fethiye Mosque, small streets of Kars and to see the beautiful Baltic buildings from the Russian period. Overnight in Hotel, dinner (extra).
Day 9 – After breakfast depart for Van, stopping in Doğu Beyazıt to visit the amazing İshak Pasha Palace and for lunch break. Continue to Van and overnight, dinner (extra).
Day 10 – Full day tour of Van. Visiting Van Castle Ruins and Akdamar Island, “Akdamar Monument Museum” famous Van cats breeding place and after lunch break continue to Hosap Castle on the way stopping Çavuştepe. Overnight in Van, dinner (extra).
Day 11 – After breakfast very early departure for Adıyaman Kahta, reach Kahta” Nemrut Mont. Archaeological Site”, summit in time before sunset time to see the Commonage Kingdom’s burial place, visit both East and West Terraces and watch the amazing sunset. Return to Adıyaman, dinner and overnight in Hotel, Adıyaman.
Day 12 – Adıyaman – to Cappadocia. You will reach Cappadocia in the afternoon, might have enough time for a short panoramic tour. Check into Tourist Hotel which is located right in front of Göreme Open Air Museum and Üçhisar Castle. Dinner and overnight in Hotel, Cappadocia.
Day 13 – Optional Hot Air Balloon ride can be arranged for people who would like join in the morning at sunrise time which is the most spectacular way to see the Cappadocia landscape. After breakfast full day Cappadocia Tour visiting Göreme Open Air Museum hiking in Red Valley followed by Kaymaklı Underground City and Pasabag Valley in Zelve . Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day 14 – After breakfast transfer to Airport to get connected with your outbound flight back home. Ihlara Valley and Avanos. Transfer to Airport.
