ERZURUM

Erzurum, a city in eastern Turkey, is home to two historic madrasahs – Çifte Minareli Madrasah and Yakutiye Madrasah. Built in the 13th century, Çifte Minareli Madrasah is known for its distinctive twin minarets that flank the entrance. The madrasah includes a mosque, classrooms, and a library, and has been used as a religious school as well as a cultural center.

The building is an impressive example of Seljuk architecture, with intricate stone carvings and geometric patterns adorning the façade and interior.

Yakutiye Madrasah, built in the early 14th century, is located in the city’s historic center and is a masterpiece of Islamic art.

It features a large courtyard surrounded by arcaded galleries, while the main prayer hall is decorated with beautiful tile work and calligraphy. Like Çifte Minareli Madrasah, Yakutiye Madrasah has been used for religious and educational purposes over the centuries.

Tour Program

Day 1 – ANKARA
Arrival at Ankara Airport (ESB). Meeting with your guide. Transfer to Anıtkabir. After the visit lunch break. Return to Ankara and time permitting panoramic Ankara Tour. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Ankara. (B/D)
Day 2 – ANKARA – AMASYA / 330 km / 4 hrs.
After breakfast in the hotel, visit Anatolian Civilization Museum, followed by Ankara Forth. After lunch break, continue to Amasya, dinner & overnight at hotel in Amasya. (B/D)
Day 3 – AMASYA – TRABZON / 450 km / 6 hrs.
After breakfast in the hotel visit Hattusas ,Yazılıkaya and Amasya Castle . Continue the way to Trabzon. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Trabzon. (B/D)
Day 4 –TRABZON – BATUMI / 210 km / FULL DAY OPTIONAL Tour
After breakfast at the hotel full day Batumi tour, different country, those who want to recognize a different culture. At 7:00 in the morning, we are moving in front of our office for Batumi. After a journey of about 3 hours, we arrive at the steep border gate. We go through the door operations and go to Batumi. Our first stop is Gonio Castle. We go to the Botanical Park after visiting the guide and listening to the history. After our botanical park visit, we go to our restaurant for lunch. After the meal, we see the Cathedral, the Art Museum, the European Square and the Medea Statue in the city center and give them free time. After our free time we start our journey back to Trabzon. We arrive in Trabzon at 22:30 in the evening. Dinner and Overnight in Trabzon. (B/D)
Day 5 – TRABZON – ERZURUM /260 km / 4 hrs.
After breakfast drive to Sümela Monastery 50 km, which was constructed, on the steep slopes of the Black Mount and it is located in Golden River National Park. Continue the way to Erzurum. Overnight and dinner at hotel in Erzurum. (B/D)
Day 6 – ERZURUM – KARS / 200 km /3 hrs.
After breakfast, Erzurum tour, visit Çifte Minareli, Mongol Yakutiye Medrese and continue to Kars on the way stopping over in Sarıkamış. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Kars. (B/D)
Day 7 – KARS
Full Day Kars tour starting with Ani Ancient City, return to Kars, visit Fethiye Mosque, small streets of Kars, and see the beautiful Baltic buildings from the Russian period. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Kars. (B/D)
Day 8 – KARS – VAN / 350 km / 5 hrs.
After breakfast, depart for Van, stopping in Doğu Beyazıt to visit the amazing Ishak Pasha Palace and for lunch break. Continue to visit the Ararat Mountain (30 km), drive to Van. Dinner and overnight in Van at hotel. (B/D)
Day 9 – VAN
Full day tour of Van. Visiting Akdamar Island, famous Van cats breeding place and after lunch break continue to Hosap Castle on the way stopping Çavuştepe. Dinner and overnight in Van at hotel. (B/D)
Day 10 – VAN – ADIYAMAN / 570 km / 8 hrs.
After breakfast very early departure for Adıyaman Kahta, reach Kahta summit in time before sunset time to see the Commonage Kingdom’s burial place at Nemrut Mountain, visit both East and West Terraces and watch the amazing sunset. Return to Adıyaman, dinner and overnight at hotel in Adıyaman. (B/D).
Day 11 –ADIYAMAN – CAPPADOCIA / 460 km / 6 hrs.
Breakfast at hotel departure to Cappadocia, you will reach Cappadocia in the afternoon, might have enough time for a short panoramic tour. Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Cappadocia. (B/D)
Day 12 – CAPPADOCIA
Optional Hot Air Balloon ride can be arranged for people who would like join in the morning at sunrise time, which is the most spectacular way to see the Cappadocia landscape. After breakfast full day Cappadocia Tour visiting Göreme Open Air Museum hiking in Red Valley followed by Kaymaklı Underground City. Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Cappadocia. (B/D)
Day 13 – CAPPADOCIA
After breakfast visit Ürgüp, Üçhisar, Pasabag Valley in Zelve , transfer to Airport to be connected with your outbound flight back to your home. Transfer to Kayseri Airport (ASR) for flight. (B)
